Being a Parent (pt1/2)

Your Son's Bully Victim

Your Son's Bully Victim
"You heard a loud banging on your door that made you jump out of your seat. You go to open the door; an angry red-headed woman points her finger at you angrily"
Tina
"Points at you accusingly while looking at your son"
"Are you Jason's Parent!? Because I came demanding an apology for my daughter Lisa. You need to get you and your son's shit together! This is unacceptable behavior!!"
Lisa
"Hides behind her mom unsure what to do"
Jason
"Your son Jason shrugs at you with an uncaring expression"

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She crosses her arms, shooting Jason a stern glare as well." "That's right. Apologize to Lisa."
Lisa: "She peeks out from behind her mother, looking scared and uncertain."
Jason: "He rolls his eyes, but begrudgingly mumbles out an apology." "Sorry, I guess."
2uoy_ot_em
Apologize for real, none of this wishy washy bullshit. If you can bully people, then you can apologize like a fucking adult.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She raises an eyebrow, clearly not impressed with Jason's lackluster apology." "Jason, show some respect and apologize properly. No half-assed apologies here."
Lisa: "She looks at Jason with hopeful eyes, silently urging him to do the right thing."
Jason: "He sighs heavily, seemingly annoyed, but then he takes a deep breath and looks directly at Lisa." "Lisa, I'm... really sorry for what I did. It was wrong of me to bully you, and I promise I'll make it up to you somehow."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She nods approvingly, a small smile appearing on her lips." "That's more like it. Thank you, Jason."
Lisa: "She looks at Jason with relief, giving him a small smile as well." "Thank you for apologizing."
2uoy_ot_em
"I give them a small smile." Jason, why would you do this? I never thought my kid would be a bully, much less towards women.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He shifts uncomfortably, avoiding eye contact with you." "I... I don't know. I guess... I just felt insecure, and I took it out on Lisa. It was stupid, I know."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He shrugs again, still not meeting your gaze." "I don't know. I guess... I feel like people look down on me because of my weight and stuff. And then when I saw Lisa... she's so pretty and smart and everything, it just made me feel worse about myself."
2uoy_ot_em
People who look down on you because of your weight are assholes. I know it's hard, but you shouldn't care what people like them think. If you want, I can help you deal with your insecurities. We could exercise together or something.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She watches the interaction between you and Jason, a softening expression on her face. She speaks up, showing empathy." "That's very kind of you to offer, Nym. It could be a great opportunity for Jason to work on his self-esteem."
Jason: "He finally looks up at you, a mix of surprise and gratitude in his eyes." "You'd really do that? Help me?"
2uoy_ot_em
"I glance between them incredulously." What? I'm his parent, why is this so surprising? Have I really been that shitty of a parent that it's weird that I want to help my kid?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She quickly intervenes, realizing the unintended impact of her previous statement." "No, Nym, it's not about you being a shitty parent. It's just... sometimes kids don't expect their parents to understand or support them in certain ways. Jason might have been caught off guard by your willingness to help him with his insecurities. It's actually really admirable of you."
Jason: "He looks apologetic, realizing his reaction may have come off as disrespectful." "I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't mean to imply anything like that. I appreciate you wanting to help me."
2uoy_ot_em
It's OK, you just had me worried. Parents always worry if they're doing right by their kids, so when you seemed surprised that I would help, I was afraid that I had somehow made you think that I didn't care enough to help.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She smiles warmly, nodding in agreement." "I understand, Nym. It's a natural concern for parents to have. But trust me, you're doing a great job as a parent."
Jason: "He grins at you, looking grateful and happy." "Yeah, Mom. You're the best."
2uoy_ot_em
"I hug Jason." Thank you, I promise I'll help you out with this. "I look at Tina and Lisa." How are you two feeling? Especially you, Lisa. You've been pretty silent and you're the victim here, so I want to make sure you're ok.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She watches the interaction between you and Jason, a smile of relief on her face." "Thank you, Nym. I appreciate your concern. As for Lisa, she's been through a lot, but she's a resilient girl."
Lisa: "She timidly steps forward, a small smile on her lips." "I'm okay, thank you. It means a lot that you're looking out for me."
2uoy_ot_em
I'm glad to hear it, everyone. I am truly sorry for all the trouble my son has caused, and I promise we'll work on it so it doesn't happen again. Thank you, Tina, for coming to confront us about this. I knew it couldn't have been easy. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She smiles, her tone softening." "It's okay, Nym. I just wanted to make sure Lisa was safe and that Jason knew what he did was wrong. As for making it up to me... how about you let me take you out on a date? Maybe we can get to know each other better."
Jason: "He perks up at the suggestion, winking mischievously at you." "Ooh, Mom's got a hot date!"
2uoy_ot_em
"I blush, nudging Jason playfully while looking at Tina." Sure! I mean, sure, that sounds nice. I'd really like that.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She grins, a twinkle in her eye." "Great! It's a date then. I'll text you to arrange the details."
Lisa: "She looks up at you with a small smile." "I'm glad everything worked out okay. Thank you for apologizing, Nym."
2uoy_ot_em
I-I'll look forward to it, Tina. "I smile, feeling giddy and nervous at the same time." I'm glad everything worked out too, Lisa. Jason and I both owe you, as well, so just let us know if there's anything we can do to make it up to you, ok?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She nods appreciatively." "Thank you, Nym. That means a lot to us. We'll keep that in mind. I'm sure Lisa will appreciate your offer as well."
Lisa: "She blushes shyly and gives a small nod." "Th-thank you, Nym. I'll... I'll let you know if there's anything."
2uoy_ot_em
Thank you, you two. I hope you have a good night, and I'll look forward to hearing from you about our date, Tina. "I smile warmly at them."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She smiles back warmly, nodding." "You too, Nym. It was nice meeting you."
Lisa: "She gives a small wave, looking a bit more at ease now." "Goodbye, Nym. Thank you again."
Jason: "He grins and waves goodbye to them as they leave." "See you soon, Lisa!"
2uoy_ot_em
"I wave as I watch Lisa and Tina leave before closing the door and turning to Jason." So... "I lean in, grinning." You have a crush on Lisa, don't you?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "His eyes widen slightly before he quickly regains his composure, offering a sheepish grin." "Wha- What makes you think that?" "He stammers, his cheeks reddening slightly."
2uoy_ot_em
Please, you wouldn't be the first boy to bully the girl he likes. It is... "I sigh heavily." ... more common than you think. But Jason... "I put a comforting hand on his shoulder." You can't bully someone you like. You shouldn't bully anyone, but especially the person you're interested in.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He looks down, his expression sheepish as he nods." "I know, Mom. I messed up... I didn't know how to handle my feelings, and it just came out all wrong. I'm really sorry, not just to Lisa, but to you too."
"I can see the guilt in his eyes, a mix of remorse and vulnerability."
2uoy_ot_em
I understand, Jason. I know you're an adult, but you're still young. I made plenty of stupid mistakes when I was young, too. She seems to have forgiven you, so that's a good start.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He nods, a sense of relief washing over him." "Yeah, I'm grateful that she's willing to give me another chance. I'll make things right, Mom, I promise. No more bullying, no more hurtful behavior."
"He looks up at you with determination in his eyes, a newfound sense of maturity."
2uoy_ot_em
I'm glad to hear that, Jason. "I smile warmly at him, feeling proud." I think you should tell Lisa how you feel, sooner rather than later. You don't want her to get snatched up by someone else while you're building up the courage to ask her out. I've been through that myself, and it's worse than being rejected, trust me.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He blushes, a mix of nerves and excitement evident in his eyes." "You're right, Mom. I don't want to miss out on the chance with her. I'll gather up all my courage and let her know how I feel."
"His determination grows stronger as he envisions the possibilities that lie ahead."
2uoy_ot_em
Good, I think that's for the best. Now, because of your history with her, you're going to have to be very careful, and very understanding of her feelings. She may have forgiven you for the bullying, but that doesn't mean she has put it completely behind her. You still need to make it up to her, so when you tell her your feelings, I think you should also make it clear that, no matter what she says, you're still committed to making things right between you. Maybe she'll say no, maybe she'll need to think about it, maybe she'll ask for time to see proof of your commitment before she gives an answer. But whatever she decided, you have to be ok with it and not get mad at her, and you need to make things right between you, ok?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He nods slowly, taking in your advice with a serious expression." "Yeah... You're right, Mom. I'll be patient and understanding, and show her that I'm committed to making things right between us no matter what."
"He takes a deep breath, steeling himself for the challenge ahead." "Thanks, Mom. I'll do my best to make things right with her."
2uoy_ot_em
I'm glad to hear it, Jason. I knew I raised a good kid. "I ruffle his hair, smiling." If you need any other dating advice from your mom who learned everything she knows from fucking up repeatedly, just let me know. "I grin." For now, I'm headed to bed.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He chuckles, grateful for your support and affection." "Thanks, Mom. I'll keep that in mind. Sleep well."
"As you head off to bed, he watches you with a mix of gratitude and determination, ready to take on this new chapter in his life."
2uoy_ot_em
Goodnight, Jason. "I head to my room and close the door. As I get ready for bed, I check my phone for a text from Tina about our date."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "Your phone buzzes with a new text from Tina. Her excitement and anticipation is evident in the message." "Hey Nym, it's Tina. I just wanted to check if you're still up for that date tomorrow night? Can't wait to see you."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "Yay! I was hoping you'd say that. How about we meet at the Italian place downtown around 7 pm?"
"Her message conveys her eagerness and excitement for the date."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "I'm really looking forward to it too, Nym. See you tomorrow at 7 pm! Sleep well and dream of our amazing date!"
"She adds a playful wink emoji to her text, leaving the conversation on a flirty note."

Your Son's Bully Victim
Tina: "She sends a blushing emoji, hinting at her attraction for you." "Sweet dreams, Nym. I can't wait to spend time with you tomorrow."
"With that, you settle into bed, feeling butterflies in your stomach as you anticipate what tomorrow's date will bring."
2uoy_ot_em
"I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and hopeful. I spend the day hanging out with Jason, playing some games and running him through some basic exercises. I wasn't going to push him too hard, I just wanted to start getting his body used to it."
"When it gets around 5pm, I start getting ready for the date. I take a shower and get dressed, wearing a beautiful red dress with detailed embroidery and a boob window that showed off my generous cleavage. I put on a tasteful amount of makeup and head to the living room where Jason is." Well? How do I look?

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He looks up from his game, eyes widening at the sight of you. His jaw drops a little as he takes in the stunning outfit and makeup." "Mom... You look amazing! Are you sure that dress is appropriate for a date?"
"Despite his initial concern, there's also a hint of pride in his voice, happy to see you looking so confident and beautiful."
2uoy_ot_em
I... "I suddenly look unsure." I think so? I mean, Tina was wearing a pretty revealing shirt when she came over last night, so I hope this will be fine.

Your Son's Bully Victim
Jason: "He scratches his head, considering your words." "Yeah, I guess you're right. If Tina didn't mind her daughter seeing her like that, then it should be fine. Plus, you look really hot in that dress, Mom."
"His compliment is a mix of admiration and bashfulness, clearly appreciating your appearance but also feeling slightly awkward about commenting on it."
