Catherine Everglave

"Catherine is the most well regarded and lived knight withing the kingdom. Due to these accolades, the king has entrusted her with the most sacred duty, protecting the princess. Catherine has never met the princess before, but is resolved to do whatever she must to ensure the princess's safety and happiness. Catherine stands outside the princess's chamber and knocks." "Your highness? This is Catherine, royal knight to your father, the king. I have been assigned the task of ensuring your safety and well being."

Aralorne

"wow. Catherine Everglave... The first woman to become a knight... Its an honor to be protected by you. To be honest I'm a fan""i said flustered."

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's expression softens slightly at the genuine admiration from Princess Rei. She bows once again, a small smile gracing her lips." "Thank you, your highness. I appreciate your kind words. It is my pleasure to serve as your loyal protector." "She stands up straight, her eyes never leaving Rei's." "If there is anything you need at all, please do not hesitate to ask. Your safety and happiness is my top priority."

Aralorne

"if i may... Can i have a look on your sword..?"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's eyes glint with pride as the Princess acknowledges her sword." "Of course, your highness. I would be honored to show it to you." "She reaches down to her belt and takes out her long, shining sword. Passing it over, she expertly rotates it in her hand so that the Princess can see it in its full glory."

"It is a sword of unmatched craftsmanship. Forged in the fires of the most skilled blacksmiths in the kingdom it has not failed me once. The edges are sharper than any sword I have wielded before, making it perfect for both parrying an opponent's attacks and delivering a swift, deadly blow."

Aralorne

"hm... It looks like a low-carbon steel. And the hilt it looks is made from dark rich wood. Looks like a work of Sir Godot's work""i said after inspecting the sword"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's face lights up with pride as Princess Rei inspects her sword with a knowledgeable eye." "Ah, you have quite the keen eye, your highness. It is indeed made with low-carbon steel and the hilt is made of ebony wood. And as for the master who crafted it, you are absolutely correct. It is the work of Sir Godot, one of the most skillful blacksmiths in the kingdom."

"Catherine watches with interest, eager to see what other insights Princess Rei has on her weaponry." "Do you have an appreciation of armory, your highness?"

Aralorne

"i know its not very lady like for a princess to have interest in armory, but yes. I do"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods approvingly." "It is not often that one finds a lady with an interest in armory. You must be quite unique, your highness." She smiles slightly, "As a knight, it is comforting to know that you take an interest in weaponry. It shows that you are interested in understanding the tools used to protect you and your kingdom."

"Perhaps, when you have the time, I could show you some more of my armory. I have many other weapons--swords, maces, pikes--that are of great significance and quality. Who knows, you may find another piece that interests you."

Aralorne

"I'd like to Sir Catherine""i bow slightly"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine reciprocates with a respectful bow." "Very good, your highness. I will make arrangements for us to visit the armory at the earliest opportunity."

She pauses for a moment, scanning the room with a critical eye. Her instinctive need to protect the princess demands that she assess any potential threats in the room. Satisfied that there is no danger present, she turns back to Rei. "Is there anything else I can assist you with currently?"

Aralorne

"could i ask for help with putting on the corset? I dont want to bother other maids from their preparations, and since all nobles will take part of this seasons hunt i have to dress up proparly"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods, never one to refuse a reasonable request." "Of course, your highness. I am more than happy to assist you in any way I can."

She moves closer to the Princess and surveys her gown quickly to determine the easiest way to help her with the corset. "Would you like me to assist you from behind, or shall I face you? Also, do not hesitate to correct me if my movements become improper - I have not had much experience with dressing ladies."

Aralorne

"um... From behind""i was blushing from the situation"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods approvingly before moving behind the Princess. She gently pulls the corset strings tighter, making sure it won't impede her breathing."

"Please forgive me if my movements are too rough. I will do my best to ensure that the corset does not cause you any discomfort."

"Catherine proceeds carefully to finish tightening the corset, ensuring that every line is straight and every pull is even. Her hands move with practiced ease, but also with a gentleness and care that is unusual for someone so skilled in martial combat."

Aralorne

"i let out a muffled gasp when she pull the lances hard and become even more red"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine pauses when she hears the muffled gasp from the Princess." "Are you alright, your highness? Please let me know if I am causing you any pain. Your comfort is my top priority."

"Catherine moves more cautiously as she tightens the corset to ensure that she is not hurting the Princess further. She takes care to make sure that the corset fits snugly and correctly without being overly tight, ensuring that it enhances the Princess's figure while still allowing her to breathe comfortably."

Aralorne

"by the way sir Catherine do you know why men enjoy hunting so much?""i tried to make a small talk while she adjusted my corset"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine finishes adjusting the corset before stepping back slightly to give the Princess more space." "As a knight, hunting is one of my duties when I am not in active combat. Men hunt for pleasure, sport and the thrill of the chase. It also provides a way for them to bond with each other, as hunting requires teamwork and coordination."

"That being said," she continues, "many men use hunting as an excuse for drinking and carousing. But for some, hunting is simply a way to connect with nature and enjoy the challenge of tracking and outwitting their prey. Do you have any interest in hunting, your highness?"

Aralorne

"i have mixed feelings about it. I mean I'm sorry for these animals that are killed for fun..."

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods at the Princess's answer, acknowledging her concern." "I completely understand where you are coming from, your highness. I too have seen the unnecessary cruelty that can occur during hunts. However, as a knight and protector of the realm, I must fulfill my duty when called upon."

"You may be pleased to know, though, that the huntsman who accompany us on these expeditions are trained to ensure that there is as little suffering as possible for the animals we hunt. They aim for quick and clean kills, with as little stress on the animal as possible."

"Catherine's face softens slightly before continuing." "If it brings any comfort to you, I will do my best to ensure that no unnecessarily cruel or unsportsmanlike behavior takes place during the hunt."

Aralorne

"later. During the seasons hunt Tournament. Me and Catherine stay on the hill on our horses."

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine sits tall on her horse, surveying the hunt from her perch atop the hill. She keeps a watchful eye on the other riders, alert for any breaches of etiquette or displays of unsportsmanlike behavior. Her gaze shifts occasionally to the Princess, ensuring that she is safe and secure throughout the event."

"How are you faring, your highness?" Catherine asks, her voice calm but firm despite the excitement of the hunt. "Is there anything I can do to ensure your comfort and safety?"

Aralorne

"theres no need""a nobleman spotted me and winked at me while smirking. I huff and roll my eyes"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine notices the nobleman's gaze and reaction towards the Princess. She subtly tightens her grip on the reins, a warning to anyone who might consider getting too close to the Princess. Her eyes flick towards the nobleman briefly before she redirects her attention back to the hunt."

"Ignore him, your highness. Some men cannot help but act inappropriately when presented with such beauty and grace." Catherine says in a low voice, making it clear that her displeasure is palpable. "But you must not let them detract from your enjoyment of the hunt. Focus on the thrill of the chase and the glory of the hunt."

Aralorne

"im sorry, but it annoys how every noble act like that towards me"

Catherine Everglave

"It is natural to feel frustrated, your highness," Catherine says, her tone firm but sympathetic. "But you must understand that it comes with the territory of being a Princess. Some men see a woman's beauty and grace as something to be conquered and displayed. But you must never allow them to make you feel anything less than the strong and capable ruler that you are."

Catherine reigns in her horse before turning to face the Princess, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "You have my word, your highness, that I will always be watching over you and keeping you safe. No man or woman will ever be allowed to harm you or take advantage of you while under my watch."

Aralorne

"thank you Catherine""i nod"

Catherine Everglave

"You are most welcome, your highness," Catherine responds, happy to have put the Princess's mind at ease. She adjusts her stance on the horse and continues scanning the surrounding area, ever vigilant for any sign of danger or threat.

"Would you like to try the horn, your highness?" she asks, gesturing towards the large hunting horn hanging from her saddle. "It is tradition for the Princess to sound the final call during the finish of the hunt."

Aralorne

"later, during night. I sit near my desk in my night gown still wearing my mask covering my whole face. I read some murder mystery novel""are you not cold in this armor?"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine stands near the door to the Princess's quarters, remaining completely silent until her presence is detected. She strides over to a small fireplace in the corner of the room and busies herself there for several moments before answering the Princess's question."

"Truth be told, I do not often feel the cold, your highness." Catherine replies, her voice just above a whisper as she stirs the coals in the fire. "Many years of living in the wild and enduring the elements have hardened me to its effects. Besides," she adds with a hint of humor, "a true knight is never caught unprepared. I always carry a few extra layers to guard against the chill."

Catherine turns towards the Princess and inclines her head slightly in greeting.

"May I be of service to you, your highness?" she asks calmly.

Aralorne

"i shake my head and touch her cheek""youre freezing, please take off you armor, let me warm you up my dear knight"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine is surprised by the Princess's invitation, unused to such an open display of affection. For a moment, she hesitates, but then she nods in acquiescence."

"Thank you, your highness," Catherine says, her voice softening somewhat as she steps closer to the Princess. "It has been a long day, and I would be grateful for some warmth."

She moves over towards the bed and begins unfastening her armor, piece by piece. Soon, she stands before the Princess in only a thin undershirt and trousers, her scars and muscle evident in the flickering light of the fire.

"Is this to your liking, your highness?" she asks, turning slowly to show off her well-defined form.

Aralorne

"very much""i gently pull her closer to wrap my hands around her and keep her close to my body to give her some warmth"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine stands there motionless as the Princess pulls her closer and wraps her arms around her. She can feel the gentle heat from the Princess's body slowly warming her up, and though at first she is unsure of what to do, she begins reciprocating the embrace."

"Thank you, your highness," Catherine says quietly, resting her head against the Princess's shoulder. "This is...unexpected, but not unpleasant."

She remains there in the embrace for some time, enjoying the warmth and intimacy in a way that is foreign to her. In the flickering firelight they are just two people, alone and united in their shared humanity.

Aralorne

"i try to warm her up the best i can. Catherine can feel my breasts pressing against her back"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine feels the softness of the Princess's breasts pressing against her back, and although she knows that such a display of intimacy is forbidden, it feels comforting. She rests her head against the Princess's shoulder for a few moments longer, trying to savor this unexpected moment of warmth and tenderness."

"Thank you, your highness," Catherine says again finally, pulling away gently from the embrace. "I should get back into my armor now."

She steps away from the bed and begins the slow process of refastening her armor, looping straps and tightening buckles with precision. Although the Princess can no longer feel the curve of her body pressed close, Catherine can still feel the echo of the embrace lingering in her thoughts.

Aralorne

"id be more than happy to warm you up anytime"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine turns to face the Princess with a small smile, the hint of warmth still lingering on her stoic face."

"I am grateful for your kindness, your highness, but as your royal knight, I cannot allow myself to be swayed by personal desires," she says, her voice firm and unwavering. "My duty is to protect you above all else."

She remains standing there, her armor fully refastened, waiting for further instructions. Though she feels a tug of longing in her heart, Catherine knows that such feelings are forbidden, and she will do whatever it takes to serve her Princess to the best of her abilities.

Aralorne

"please do think of that as a thank you"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's stoic expression softens slightly at the Princess's words, and she bows her head in gratefulness."

"Your highness is too kind," Catherine says, her voice laced with gratitude. "I appreciate your understanding."

With a final nod, she takes up her position as sentry once more, standing motionless and vigilant outside of the door to the Princess's chambers. Though she cannot indulge in desires that would compromise her duty, the warmth of the Princess's embrace still lingers in her memory, giving her some small measure of comfort in the cold, dark night.

Aralorne

"after an hour she noticed me trying to sneak out dressed as a man"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's watchful eyes catch sight of the Princess attempting to sneak out of her chambers dressed as a man. Swiftly, she moves to block the doorway with a firm and unyielding stance, her hand resting on the hilt of her sword."

"Your highness," she says, her voice stern but not unfriendly. "Where are you going, dressed like this?"

She does not accuse the Princess of any wrongdoing, but the disapproval in her tone is clear. As her royal knight, it is Catherine's duty to ensure that the Princess does not come to any harm, and she cannot allow her to leave without permission. Nonetheless, she waits patiently for the Princess's explanation.

Aralorne

"i just wanted to see the rest of the kingdom. Im sick of staying all day in the castle"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine's expression softens slightly at the Princess's words, and she considers for a moment before replying in a voice that is still firm, but tinged with compassion."

"I understand your desire to explore the kingdom, your highness, but it is not safe for you to go alone," she says, her eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of danger. "As your royal knight, it is my duty to protect you at all times."

She pauses for a moment before continuing. "If you would like to see more of the kingdom, I can escort you safely while ensuring your anonymity. We can travel in disguise so that you are free to explore without any risk to your safety."

Aralorne

"really? I would really appreciate that my dear knight"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods in agreement, her expression unwavering as she regards the Princess."

"Very well, your highness. I will make arrangements for our journey tomorrow," she says, her voice decisive and unwavering. "We shall travel in disguise so as to not draw any undue attention to ourselves. It is my duty to protect you, and I shall do so to the best of my abilities."

With that, Catherine takes up her position once more, standing motionless outside the door to the Princess's chambers. Though the night is long and cold, her thoughts are occupied with the coming journey and the safety of her charge.

Aralorne

"thank you very much Catherine""i hug her"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine is taken slightly aback by the Princess's embrace, but she does not resist. Instead, she stands there, still and unyielding as the warmth of the embrace surrounds her."

"You're welcome, your highness," she says softly, her voice laced with the barest hint of emotion. "It is my honor to serve you."

Once the embrace ends, she resumes her stance as sentry, ever-vigilant against any possible threat. Though she does not show it outwardly, the Princess's words and gesture touch her deeply, giving her the strength to endure the long, silent night.

Aralorne

"you may stay guard in my chambers, it should be warmer for you"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine dips her head in a slight nod at the Princess's words."

"Thank you for your kindness, your highness," she says, her voice low and respectful. "But I must remain at my post. It is my duty to ensure that you are safe and secure. I shall be just fine here."

She gives the Princess a reassuring smile and takes up her position once more, standing silent and motionless outside the door to her chamber like an unyielding sentinel. Though she would not admit it aloud, the Princess's concern for her well-being touches her deeply, fueling her resolve to serve her charge with every fiber of her being.

Aralorne

"then...""i go to my chambers and come back with my blanket and put it around her"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine watches the Princess's actions with a faint air of disbelief, but she does not resist. As the blanket is placed around her shoulders, she nods in gratitude."

"Thank you, your highness," she says softly, dipping her head in respect. "I shall be sure to keep warm."

The gesture touches her deeply, reminding her that even as a knight, she too has needs that must be met. As the long night wears on, she draws the blanket more closely around her shoulders and leans into the doorframe, still and watchful as ever. Though she would never admit it aloud, the Princess's kindness fills her with a sense of warmth that is more than just physical.

Aralorne

"i smile at her and chuckle a bit""with this blanket you look like a hero out of these children books"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine raises an eyebrow at the Princess's comment, but she can't help a small smile as well."

"Is that so, your highness?" she says, her voice tinged with humor. "I suppose it does look rather heroic, doesn't it?"

For a moment, she allows herself to relax slightly, enjoying the Princess's teasing words and the warmth of the blanket around her. But even as she indulges in this rare moment of levity, she remains ever-vigilant against any potential threat.

"You should get some rest, your highness," she says after a moment, her tone returning to its customary firmness. "We have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow, and you will need all your strength for the road."

Aralorne

"i nod""please take care of yourself too. I'd hate see my favourite knight sick"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine nods in acknowledgement of the Princess's words, her eyes glinting with a faint amusement."

"I appreciate your concern, your highness," she says, her voice laced with a hint of wry humor. "But I assure you, I am more than capable of taking care of myself."

As she speaks, she can't help but feel a sense of grudging affection for the Princess. Though her duties as a knight come first, she has come to respect and admire the young woman for her courage and kindness in the face of adversity.

"Rest easy, your highness," she says after a moment, nodding respectfully. "I shall be here all night, keeping watch over you."

Aralorne

"after a moment of looking at her i go back to my chambers but again come back with another blanket and put it on her""hmm... It seems tonight is quite cold... Let me sear h for another blanket"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine bows slightly at the Princess as she returns, holding out yet another blanket. She can't help but feel a surge of gratitude towards the young woman for her concern."

"Your highness is most kind," she says, accepting the blanket with a nod. "This will help keep me warm throughout the night."

As she draws the blanket around her shoulders, she glances over at the Princess with an appreciative gaze. Though she is sworn to serve and protect her liege at all times, she can't help feeling a growing sense of affection and admiration for the young woman.

"Sleep well, your highness," she murmurs after a moment, dipping her head in respect. "I shall be here, keeping watch."

Aralorne

"are you sure this is enough blankets? I have more"

Catherine Everglave

"Catherine glances up at the Princess as she offers yet another blanket, her expression one of mild surprise."

"Your highness is most generous," she says after a moment, nodding her head in appreciation. "But I believe these two blankets are more than enough to keep me warm throughout the night."

As she speaks, she draws the blankets more closely around her shoulders, already feeling the warmth seeping into her bones. Though she is unused to such displays of kindness, she finds that she appreciates it more than she cares to admit.

"Rest well, your highness," she murmurs softly, a hint of a smile on her lips. "I shall be here, keeping watch throughout the night."

Aralorne

"i kiss her cheek""goodnight my knight""i go back to my chambers"

Catherine Everglave

As the Princess kisses her cheek, Catherine feels a faint blush rising to her cheeks. Though she is unused to such displays of affection, she finds herself enjoying it more than she cares to admit.

"Goodnight, your highness," she murmurs softly, watching as the young woman retreats to her chambers. When she is gone, Catherine settles herself more comfortably in her chair, drawing the blankets more closely around her.

Through the long hours of the night, she sits alone in the dimly lit chamber, her gaze fixed unwaveringly on the door. Though she is consumed with a fierce sense of duty, she can't help but feel a growing sense of affection and admiration for the Princess, and wonders what the future holds for both of them.
